Tustin Dance Center is happy to have students back in classes in-studio, and still welcomes anyone to attend via Zoom who is not comfortable attending in person. Contact us if you have any questions.

TDC Events:

•  TDC Recital 2024. TDC will hold its annual recital, "Fantasies and Fairytales", on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the Anaheim Center for the Performing Arts at Servite High School. Thank you to all who came out to support our dancers at this year's recital named "Let's "Take It From the Top!"; It was truly an amazing, heart- warming day! You can still purchase videos of the "Let's Take It From The Top" recital and secure your memories of the performances on the big stage!

•  NUTCRACKER. Dance! To Your Heart's Delight (DTYHD) held its 19^th annual production of this timeless ballet on December 1-3, 2023 at Downey Theatre in Downey. DTYHD donated the entire performance on December 1, 2023 to underserved organizations in Orange and LA counties. Learn more>>

•  Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party. Dance! To Your Heart's Delight's held its 14^th annual magical tea party will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Church of the Foothills fellowship hall in North Tustin. Honored guests were treated to a magical day with cast members from The Nutcracker Ballet, enjoyed wonderful treats and were able to shop our famed Nutcracker Boutique. Tickets for the 2024 tea party will be on-sale in early September 2024.

Class, Intensive and Camps:

•  Winter/Spring Classes. Winter/spring classes begin on January 8, 2024 and run through May 31, 2024. TDC has an open enrollment policy which allows new and existing families to enroll at any time. You may register for classes at any time.

Dance! To Your Heart's Delight (DTYHD) performed its 19^th annual Nutcracker Ballet on Saturday, December 1 - 3, 2023 at the beautiful Downey Civic Theatre.

DTYHD was pleased to again donate the entire December 1, 2023 performance to many underserved organizations in Orange and LA counties, bringing the joy of the arts to individuals and families who might not otherwise be exposed to the arts.

The Downey Theatre first opened its doors in 1970, built to house the success of the Downey Children's Theatre under the direction of John Hume.  While many of the old theatre programs shut down in 1978, the theatre continues to present the community with shows from the Downey Civic Light Opera, the Downey Symphony, and other local cultural and dance companies.

Under new management in 2011, the Downey Theatre began to once again host larger acts as a performing arts venue, presenting concerts and shows of nationally known artists.

Fun fact about Downey Theatre... In March 1971, astronauts Alan Shephard, Edgar Mitchell, and Stuart Roosa landed by helicopter in Downey and spoke at the theater. It was a busy place. Everything from beauty pageants to opera to marionettes have played there.

The Nutcracker Ballet Story

The Nutcracker Ballet features professional dancers for all principal roles, and dozens of Tustin Dance Centers most talented dancers of all ages.

In this enchanting ballet, featuring the famous score by Tchaikovsky, a young girl has a very special Christmas. At a fun-filled family party with dancing, magic and dolls that come to life, Clara receives a special gift: a Nutcracker. That night she dreams of an epic battle between mice and toys, and a magical journey to the Kingdom of Sweets, where Clara dances with her Prince and meets the beautiful Sugar Plum Fairy.
